Tometa GeoBlock

Introduction

GeoBlock lets you disallow access to websites, folders as well as files for visitors from certain countries, states/regions or cities through IIS.

This is easy to use tool, once installed and configured you just need to mark unwanted locations using your regular Internet Information Services MMC snap-in using the property tab called GeoBlock where unwanted locations can be easily configured.

Steps to get started:

Download and install GeoBlock

If you wish to register visit http://www.tometasoftware.com/order_geob.asp . The license for GeoBlock includes one year of database updates using the Tometa WhereIs service. The demo version of GeoBlock will allow you to block up to three locations for any number of websites. If you do not wish to register then skip to step 6.
Once receiving your registration email open the registration applet from the start menu or about box and enter your key code and user name for GeoBlock.
Open the database manager from the start menu and right click somewhere on the window. Select Auto Update options and enter your WhereIs Account Name and Access Code.
Configure your download schedule by clicking Configure next to schedule task. Downloading more than once per week is not recommended due to the size of the download and additionally Tometa updates the WhereIs database only once per week.
Open IIS manager and using the GeoBlock tab in a website's properties block the locations you do not wish to access your site.
Forget about it and let GeoBlock do its thing for you!
