Files

The Files section in Cool Info XP allows you to browse drives and folders to examine the properties of specific files. Files and folders that are designated as hidden will not show up in this window. If you wish to examine hidden files you will need to change the options in Windows to allow them to be viewed.
Properties The default view for the Files section is set to Properties. Within the properties view, the following information is displayed.
Note Not all of the following properties may be available for each file. Each file type has its own set of unique properties.
- Company Name Displays the name of the company who created the file.
- Copyright Displays the Copyright Information for the file.
- Creation Date Displays the date the file was originally created.
- Creation Time Displays the time the file was originally created.
- Description Displays a brief description of the file (or Program).
- Internal Name Displays the Internal Name.
- Original Name Displays the Original Name.
- Product Name Display the name of the Program the file belongs to.
- Product Version Display the version of the file (or Program).
- Short File Name Displays the short file name for the file. This name is used when accessing the file within an operating system that does not support long file names, such as Microsoft DOS.
- Size Display the size of the file.
- Version - Display the version of the file (or Program).
Filter You may wish to limit the file types displayed to a specific file type (or types). The Filter option allows you to choose which file types you want to be displayed.
To open the General File Information section:
From the Cool Info XP View Menu, click on Files.

From the Cool Info XP Toolbar, click the Files icon.
