Ignore Rules
|
Cool Info XP allows you to narrow down your search by getting rid of files that don’t meet your criteria. This includes files of a certain name, files created by a particular Company, files located in a particular folder, or files belonging to a particular program. Cool Info XP comes with a series of Ignore Rules already created, but chances are you will want to create your own for your own specific needs.
Cool Info XP allows you to create rules for which files will be shown displayed and which ones will not. You can ignore a file four different ways; By its Location, Name, Product Name, and Company Name.
Many rules are already created in Cool Info XP and can be used by simply checking or unchecking them.
To open the Ignore Rules option:
From the Cool Info XP View Menu, click on Software Installed > File Scan, select the Options button near the bottom of the Window and then choose the Ignore Rules tab.
-or-
From the Top Menu Bar select Tools > Options, select the File Scan tab and then choose the Ignore Rules tab.
