Keyboard

The Keyboard section in Cool Info XP allows you to view information about the system keyboard. The following information is the most common information available for the keyboard.
- Code Page – ANSI – Displays the ANSI standards used by the keyboard for language support.
- Code Page – OEM – Displays the OEM standards used by the keyboard for language support.
- Description – Displays a brief description of the keyboard including number of keys.
- Flash Speed – Displays the Cursor Blink Rate speed.
- Function Keys – Displays the number of function keys available on the keyboard.
- Manufacturer – Displays the manufacturer of the keyboard.
- Repeat Delay – Displays the amount of time that elapses before a character repeats when you hold down a key. Displays the time interval for displaying the first and second characters. Four delay rates are generally available: 250, 500, 750, and 1000ms.
- Repeat Speed – Displays the speed at which a character repeats when you hold down a key. The range is generally 6 to 30 characters per second.
To open the Keyboard section:
From the Cool Info XP View Menu, click on Input > Keyboard.
Tip:
· You may be able to adjust settings such as Repeat Delay and Repeat Speed by going into Windows Control Panel and selecting Keyboard.
· You may also be able to adjust these settings in the Motherboard BIOS. For more information on adjusting keyboard settings through the BIOS, consult your system manual.
