Pointing Devices

The Pointing Devices section in Cool Info XP displays information on the pointing device being used by Windows (Generally a mouse). 

  • Button Count – Displays the number of buttons available on the Mouse.
  • Button Swapped – Displays whether the button functions have been swapped. The buttons are usually swapped for a left-handed person.
  • Description – Displays a brief description of the mouse.
  • Double Click Speed – Displays the speed that the double-click function is currently set to. The default is generally 500ms.
  • Manufacturer – Displays the manufacturer of the mouse.
  • Mouse Trails – Displays if any mouse trails are enabled on the system. 
  • Mouse Wheel – Displays if the mouse is a wheel mouse. 

    To open the Pointing Devices section:

    From the Cool Info XP View Menu, click on Input > Pointing Devices.

    Tip Tip:

    · You may be able to adjust these settings in Windows by going into the system Control Panel and selecting Mouse.
