Using StopPop.net

Using an un-registered copy of StopPop.net:

Using an un-registered copy of StopPop.net will still give you the same control and protection against popups, however, every 20th popup that is blocked will produce a reminder screen to remind you to register your copy. Review the help section on Registering StopPop.net for more information about getting your copy of StopPop.net registered so you will not have to be bothered with the reminder screen.

Using StopPop.net (Registered or Un-registered):

For each website that you visit, you can explicitly control whether StopPop.net will Allow or Block popups from that site. By default, StopPop.net will block all popups. By right clicking on the Arrow in the lower left corner of your browser, you can review the Menu Options and select whether to Allow or Block popups from the site, or from the domain.

If a popup has been blocked from the site you are viewing, the Arrow will turn red to indicate the blocked popup as well as playing a sound if you have chosen that option (see Options). If you hold your mouse over the red arrow, you can see how many popups are on the particular web page. This will be indicated by the number of explorer icons to the right of the red Arrow.

If you hold your mouse over the explorer icon, you will see information about the blocked popup.

You can click on the explorer icon and open the popup that was blocked if you decide that it is something that you want to see. If you choose to Allow popups from the site, you can right click on the red Arrow and click the menu option to explicitly Allow popups for the web page's address. Or you can click on Options and then the Blocked Sites Tab to remove it from the list.
