Laptop Stolen? Now what?

Even with the IP address information from Laptop Locate, you can't find out who that IP address belongs to by yourself. What you will need to do is collect as much information you can about the laptop itself and the IP address tracking information from our server. Then you will have to give that information to the local authorities and they will be able to subpoena the ISP who the IP address belongs to in order to track down the laptop.

Information about your laptop you should have available.

• Manufacturer
• Model Number
• Serial Number
• A picture would be helpful also

The tracking information reported to our server is available anytime given you have the tracking URL from the program. The tracking URL is included in every email that gets sent to you by the program. It will look like this.

Fill in as much information as possible. The most important information is the information you put into Laptop Locate such as your name, address, the brand, model and serial number of your computer. All this gets reported to our server along with your laptop's IP and will help us track down your information faster. You will receive a response within 24 hours.
